"HARTLESS".....

Whats good everyone? This has been one of the longest weeks I've had in a LONG time. Who knew that actually working would drain all my energy, especially after doing no brain work for the first 2 days back. To break my ground hog day type cycle I went with @Breakthatbread to check Christine Noble at Hartless Tattoo on Bloor. I never met her before in my life but since we've been going back and forth on BBM I felt 100% comfortable letting her do what she does, and what she does is some DOPE SHEEEIT!!!! I guess there's not much more to say other than LET THE PICs DO THE TALKING.....

 

Back to Work.....

Its been a week since I last updated this and to tell you the truth I haven't been doing too much. I was trying to get myself mentally prepared since I had to go back to work with this bionic arm of mine. If you know anything about where I work you'll know I deal with a lot of brain dead people that have drivers licenses and they feel its a right, not a privilege to drive which makes for a lot of arguments and "I pay your salary" comments which is usually followed by me saying Mmmmmm Hmmmm in my head with a palm to my face with a HUGE eye roll LOL. I could make a television series, write a book, become a psychiatrist after working 9 years in this job.

I think I'm going to give you guys a story of straight up stupid at least once a week. Let you see thru my eyes what I have to deal with every day/hour/minute at work. Starting to sound like a jaded government worker huh? Well fukk, I AM.....

As a stress reliever I've been working on a couple of pieces which will be made in limited quantities(15-25 each). Over the past couple of months people have been giving a lot of positive feedback and I must say its made me even more hungry to keep coming up with what I feel people are looking for. The idea/concept for the following 2 bracelets were conceived while listening to Kanyes My Beautiful Dark Fantasy and Rick Ross' Teflon Don on repeat a couple nights ago. I'm extremely proud of how these bracelets came out, but I'll let you guys be the judge...

Am I Wrong....?

So I went to lunch with my home girl from Breakthatbread.com and we decided to hit up Brimley and Sheppard for a little bootleg movie action. We checked out a couple "stores" and could'nt find anything worth actually spending our money on so we check the last 2 spot at the centre of the mall and if you know about this spot, this particular bootleg stand takes up an old lottery kiosk (which means its pretty big). I said to myself "Fukk it, I'm gonna get something since I'm already here" I guess it was like the money in my pocket was burning a hole LOL. We then ask the guy how much the DVDs are and its 4 for $10, which is cool, but within 5 mins of getting the price the 2 people running the spot just walk off with the QUICKNESS. I found that sh!t kinda weird until i heard some BIG BALD dude at the kiosk behind me say "Sorry folks, you're getting shut down", and this dude had about 4 Chinese females behind the counter lookin SHOOK!!!! My home girl was asking me "Whats going on!?!?!?!?!" I tell her that they're getting raided and then the light bulb turned on in my head, these DVDs are about to get confiscated and the 2 people aren't coming back "Time to get whatever we want" LOL. After its all said and done we made off with 43 DVDs....Am I wrong for taking them or is it just karma visiting them for bootlegging the movies in the first place?.....I hope karma doesn't visit me for this, Enjoy.....

Visited a "Priest" today.....

So today I went and visited a "Priest" for some divine intervention.....Who woulda thought that I could stay in my own city and have a burger that tastes almost exactly like an IN and OUT burger from LA (California)....Oh you were prolly thinking I went to see an actual PRIEST!?!?!? This "Priest" was Burger's Priest on Queen St W @ Coxwell. Sorry for the misleading title, but if you know me im not too much of a religious person.

 As for The Burger's Priest you don't have a fully loaded menu.It consists of a Double Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger, The Priest which are Portobello mushroom tops stuffed with cheese then deep fried (Vegetarian option) French fries (also Chili fries) and basic condiments. After hitting up The Burger's Priest I stayed in the Beaches area and hit up one of my bead shop and pick up a couple items to see where my creativity take me. I usually work on my bracelets late at night, but for some reason I went in and came up with some CLEAN pieces. Im gonna let the work speak for itself. Laid back week.....

Whats good everyone? I know its been almost a full week and no updates.....WTF!?!?!?! I was keeping myself occupied by going to Value Village (surprise surprise),watching movies and checking out some shops downtown.

The beginning of the week was slow as hell. Started my physio therapy and it looks like its going to be a long process to get my arm back to being fully functional. As of right now my arm can only flex from -30 degrees to about 90 degrees which is fukked up fukked up...Wish me luck over the next few weeks.....

Wednesday is where my week actually STARTED. Went out to Ajax with my dude Harold to check out their Value Village since everyone is telling me that I'll find some gems and surprisingly I picked up a couple of pieces.....

 On Thrusday I decided to head downtown to see whats up because i haven't been since GDFT closed down earlier this year. Hit up UNCLE OTIS to check my dude Martin and Merv but the later decided to call in sick, but nonetheless it was good catching up. After OTIS I went to ROOTs and to my surprise they were carrying some pieces that looked like mine and they were charging a lot more than I am.....

jay-LEN Loves the Kids.....

What more can I say, "I Love the Kids". Today was like every Saturday, woke up early to take Kaliah to Korean classes then home for lunch. Not too exciting right? The fun actually started after we decided to go watch the new movie MEGAMIND which has the voices of Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, Tina Fey and Jonah Hill (Superbad). If you know how I do, I bring my own popcorn/candies/drinks and if I roll with other people we usually watch the movie for free (Little game I run LOL). After the movie was done we headed home and my cousin brought his son Jahsiah over for a visit since the fam hasn't seen him in a while and its cool how fast kids connect with each other. It took him a while to warm up to me, prolly because of the GRIZZLY BEARD LOL but once I gave him som goldfish crackers we were like Jordan and Pippen. Enjoy the pix.....

Staples in, STAPLEs OUT.....

Today is the day I've been waiting for, I finally get the 30 staples removed from my arm. The pain that I have in my arm is pretty bad, I can't move my arm more than 25-90 degrees from it being straight. And it affects almost everything from eating, brushing my hair and the simplest thing of giving a proper hug..Awwwwww... LOL Off to North York General I go, wish me luck

  update: Got the satples out and the sh!t looked better with them still in. When the nurse was removing them, I could feel EVERY single one being pulled out EGCK!!!!

WONDERLAND, DIVA and WORK.....

WOW, it's been almost a full week and I'm NOW just posting something new. Sorry if you've been checking the blog out and there's been no updates, because if you're me, I hate checking peoples blogs for updates and there's NOTHING. Well back to life now. Here's a little bit of an update of last weekend to now.

FRIDAY

Started the "Halloween Weekend" off at MARO and the crew had something special/secretive lined up. We all dressed up as The Jokers Henchmen from the last installment of BATMAN. Our costumes/masks got a good reaction from the people in attendance and I actually scared a couple of the bartenders which knew they were working a HALLOWEEN party Lol. I didnt take any pictures myself since I was on another level so all I have right now is a self pic i took of how I looked.....

SATURDAY

Woke up at 8:30am which is extra early for a Saturday and it was even worse because I had to deal with a splitting headache/hangover then head out to pick Kaliah up from her Korean classes. Before I picked up Kaliah I headed over to my new favorite spot VALUE VILLAGE. I swear by this place now because of ALL the good finds I've been getting . After picking Kaliah up we headed home to chill out for a bit before I had to get my car from the mechanic. I dropped the car off Friday and was looking at $265 in damage to the wallet, THEN I got the call "Its gonna be more than the original quote, with parts and labor it'll be $700" GOTTDAMN GOTTDAMN. After I payed the money and got my car back it seemed worth it, a lot of the problems were fixed and the car is running like new, SORTA. SUNDAY

Finally a day for me to be lazy..... Or so I thought. I did like any other Sunday and looked at who I'd be losing my money on in Proline but said "FUKK it!!! After dropping all that $$$$$ at the mechanics I'm gonna keep whatever little bit I have left LoL. So my Kaliah and my niece wanted to have a Halloween party of their own since they weren't able to go to Wonderland on Friday for obvious reasons, yea you read right, the girls wanted to go clubbing with daddy/uncle. I ordered some pizza and wings, gave em cherry crush as their BLOOD martini and when they finished lunch they wanted to carve a pumpkin we bought earlier and man did it come out nice; Nose, lips and brow ring included SMH.....

 

 Once I let the girls loose to run around the house and bug Grandma and Papa I finally got a chance to put some work in. If you know me, you know that I've been working on getting a little jewelry line off and the ground and the response has been very surprising. I guess people are looking for something that's not mass produced and can be custom made. I'll let the work speak for itself.....ENJOY......
